  • Handful cereal (1)

Lunch

  • Veggies with lite ranch (1)
  • Chick peas (1)
  • Orange (1)

Snack

  • Handful TJ pretzel slims (1)
  • Fruit salad (2)

Dinner

  • Slice whole wheat pizza (5)
  • Veggies with lite dressing (1)
  • Roasted veggies (2)

    Well, I am still eating slightly above my allotted points, which means I just need to be more conscious. Not a problem! I’m a work in progress 🙂

    • Greek Yogurt (2)
    • 1/2 Banana (1)
    • 2 tbsp slivered almonds (0.5)
    • 2 tbsp raisins (0.5)
    • 1/2 cup Kashi (2)

    Lunch

    • Veggies with lite dressing (1)
    • 1/4 cup Chick peas (1)
    • 1 tbsp feta (1)
    • 1 cup brown rice (4)
    • Orange (1)

    Snack

    • TJ rice crackers (2)
    • Hummus (1)
    • Orange (1)

    Dinner

    • Lentil and oat veggie burger (2)
    • 1/2 sweet potato (1.5)
    • 1 cup skim milk (2)
    • Orange (1)

    Total = 24.5

    I will now be keeping track of my intake via weight watchers points!

    I am allowed 22 points, according to this plan – which I’m eager to follow.

    Breakfast

    Oatmeal (2), Almonds (4), 1/2 Banana (1), Raisins (1) = 8 points

    Lunch

    Chicken Barley Soup (2), Lettuce/Celery/Broccoli/Carrots (0), Beets (0.5), Chick peas (2), Artichokes (2), FF salad dressing (1), Orange (1) = 8.5

    Dinner

    TJ’s pretzel slims (2), Hummus (2), Edamame (1), Orange (1) = 6

    Total: 22.5 points

    Workout: 30 minutes elliptical, 10 minutes walk 4 mph on treadmill

    In for a late dinner, so an afternoon snack was a must.

    I snacked on some trail mix (almonds, cashews, craisins) this afternoon.

    I’m going to say it was about 200 calories.

    Lunch

    • Mixed veggies (carrots, broccoli, grape tomatoes, cucs)
    • 2 TBSP hummus 
    • 2 TBSP black bean dip
    • Small whole wheat tortilla
    • Lean turkey
    • Light cheese
    • Frozen mango chunks

    Lunch total was about 300 – 350 calories

      Wow, it is super hot outside. Too bad I didn’t begin my workout earlier!

      I managed to run about 3 miles, despite the heat, in about 35 minutes. 

      Then I cooled down on the treadmill for 10 minutes (0.5 miles).

      All in all, it was a tough work out, but I’m glad I did it!

      Totals: 45 minutes cardio, about 350 cals burned.

      First day blogging!  I have had just about a million blogs, but most of them encouraged my disordered eating.So, I figured it’s about time I started a new, healthy, positive blog! Through this blog, I will track my diet and exercise. This is to ensure I a) do not slip back into unhealthy practices, b) maintain a positive mindset, and c) get in the best (healthy) shape possible.  I am also looking to lose a little weight that I put on in the past few years. Currently, I weigh approximately 138.

      My first goal is 130, which I hope to reach by September.  

      Breakfast: 

      • 1 cup of fiber one
      • 1 cup skim milk
      • 1 nectarine, 2 strawberries, Handful of blueberries
      • 1 tbsp slivered almonds
      • Splash of cinnamon

      = about 350 calories. 

      Hope to start including photos of my food!
